Estee Lauder Double Wear Review

Hey lovelies,
Sorry I haven't made a blog post in quite a while i've just been extremely busy with school and work but now that its coming to the end of the year and i've almost finished school I will be getting back into posting regularly!

So lets get into today's post
This post is a review on the Estee Lauder double wear foundation. I have been wanting to purchase this product for over a year now and I am so excited and happy that I finally have! This foundation is my holy grail. I am in the colour Desert beige and it is a perfect match for me. It covers up my redness and blemish scarring so well and it seriously lasts all day long. I took a sample pot of this foundation with me on a recent holiday to Fiji to test out how it wears in heat and humidity and I have no idea how but this foundation lasts even in the weather in Fiji! The only negative is that it smells quite strongly like paint and also it doesn't come with a pump however i'm sure there are pumps you can buy separately to fit on.
This foundation retails for $50 and I purchased mine at an Estee Lauder Counter in Myer. I really recommend you go try it out and if you go and get your colour tested the staff will be more than happy for you to get a sample :)

Benefit Haul!

Hi lovelies
I am so excited! I finally received my package from benefit. I am not a person that feels the need to spend ridiculous amounts on makeup. I am normally quite happy with having mainly drugstore products because i feel that drug store products are sometimes better quality than high end products. But I felt like spoiling myself and purchasing my first ever benefit products. I decided to get them off the US website because the price of buying them in australia is ridiculoulsy expensive. In total for my order i paid $125. If i got each of these products in Australia it would of cost me a whopping $270!! Thats a saving of more than half the price. Plus i also got free shipping on my order since it was free international shipping on orders over $125.
The customer service was really great. I got an email to say my order was confirmed and also another one when my order was shipped. It only took 5 days for me to receive my order which was really great!
Now for the part that you've all been waiting for.... What I ordered!

First off I got the cult favorite Porefessional. I didn't really think I had very noticeably large pores but honestly after using the porefessional i can see a Huge difference in the way my makeup goes on, how long it lasts and also how it looks on my skin. I love this so much and I now know why everyone raves about it so much

Next up is another favorite amongst beauty bloggers Hoola. I had been tossing up between purchasing this or Nars Laguna and I am so glad i got this! It has changed the way i bronze and contour. I cant explain it very well but this is just the most perfect shade and its just so amazing . I dont think I will ever need another bronzer or contour product.

Next item is another popular one... They're real mascara and also a deluxe sample of the push up liner. First off as soon as my spending ban is over the first thing I am purchasing is the full size liner. It is amazeballs!!! It is so black and so easy to create the perfect wing! As for the mascara... Im not too sure how I feel about it yet... its not amazing but its not bad.. I will continue to try it out and see how it goes. The annoying thing about these two is that they are a bitch to remove!

Next item is Gimme brow in the shade light/medium. I was tossing up between which shade to get but im so glad I got the lighter one! This prouct is really nice and easy to use. I like using it ontop of my essence eyebrow pencil just to set my brows and make them look fuller.

Next i got Bo-oing concealer. This concealer is the shit. It has the best coverage for any concealer i have ever used the only negative is that at the moment it is a tad too dark for me but it'll probably be perfect when im tan in summer.

Lucky last is posie balm.. This is so adorable! and it smells like roses what more could you want?! I am yet to wear this on my lips yet but the swatch is very pretty and im sure it'll be a great everyday subtle pink colour :)

Thankyou so much for reading

Spending ban- How I am saving my money

hi lovelies,
today's post is going to be a bit different to my typical makeup/beauty posts.
Recently I have been purchasing a whole heap of makeup products and I realised that I have so many products that I haven't even used or opened up yet in my drawer. So to give my credit card a rest I have decided to go on a makeup spending ban..
Now when I say spending ban I'm not banning myself from buying beauty entirely I'm just going to limit the amount of money I spent on products. I am also trying to stop buying products that I don't acually need. I have a written up a list of products that I want to eventually get around to purchase throughout this year and possibly next year and I will only purchase items off this list...

My ways to save money on my makeup spending are:
1.Wait for sales. If I want a product that is from the drugstore I know that priceline, target, Myer etc are always having sales every few weeks so it is definelyy worth waiting a few weeks if I can get that certain product 30 or even 40% off.

2. Use up one before buying another. I currently have about 5 different Mascaras opened and I honestly think it's such a waste because they end up drying out or going gross before I can finish a whole tube.. so my new rule is I will not buy another type of the same product until I have hit pan on another or have entirely used it up. That way I am getting more use out of the products I currently own

3. Shop my own collection. Sometimes I get bored of using the same old products everyday so by mixing it up a bit and using different products that are stashed at the back of my draws is a great way to rediscover amazing products and save money.

So there you have it.. so far I think I've been doing really well.. over the month of July I only purchased two makeup items (covergirl foundation and chi chi eyeshadow pallete) and made one iherb order and all the items were off my wishlist

I hope you enjoyed reading this post ❤️

have a great day/night xx

Iherb order- Real techniqes and Hurraw lipbalms

Hi lovelies,
I was so impressed with my last order from iherb that i decided to buy a few more products.
I order the real techniques sponge, and the expert face brush and i also ordered 2 Hurraw lip balms.
I think I was most excited about the sponge because i had heard really great things about it and I don't have anything like it in my collection. It really has lived up to the expectations. I love it so much. It blends my foundation flawlessly and it is really easy to use to blend under eye concealer as well. I really recommend picking up this sponge . I also got the real techniques expert face brush. This is my new favorite foundation brush! it just makes it so easy to apply and it doesn't leave behind any brush lines or marks.

I also got two Hurraw Lip balms because I have seen many youtubers such as Shaaanxo rave about them. To be honest I don't actually like these lipbalms as much as I thought I would. They're still great and they do moisturize my lips and they whole vegan and cruelty free thing is great. I just feel like they have a funny scent to them even though they are both different 'flavours'. You can purchase them at David jones for around $8 i think but on iherb they are only $3-4 so I recommend buying them online.

BB Cream

Hi Lovelies,
If you follow me on instagram you would know that i am a huge BB cream fan. I would say that i wear them more than i wear actual foundation because i prefer a more natural light makeup for school and work.
BB creams or Beauty Balms are supposed to have many benefits for the skin while giving you a light coverage. some of these benefits include :
conceals imperfections
minimises the appearance of pores
evens skintone
smooths skin
helps fight against blemishes
all while giving an all day natural coverage to the skin.
Three of my favourtie BB creams i own are the:
Maybelline Dream pure BB cream- I have raved on about this quite a bit and it is my go to product. I use this almost every day and i love it. It is espically great because it has salysillic acid in it which helps fight those nasty breakouts

Rimmel Matte BB cream- This one is a more recent purchase and i really am enjoying it so far. I dont think that it has that much of a 'matte' effect but it is still a really nice BB cream.

Garnier Miracle Skin perfector- This is my first BB cream and i have been using this for 2 or 3 years now and i still love it so much. I have gone through about 4 of these and i will continue to repurchase it.

I do have a few more but i dont really use them as much or i dont really like them so these are my Top 3 BB creams
I usually apply these with a moisutriser or primer underneath and then set with a powder just to make it last all day long

Chi Chi Classics eyeshadow pallete

While wondering around the city the other day i couldnt help but notice there was 25% off Chi chi cosmetics. Of course i couldnt resist the sale so i decided to finally purchase my first chi chi eye shadow pallete. These are raved about constantly so i decided to see what the fuss was about. I got the classics pallete to start off with.
This pallete is fantastic!
the colours are crazy pigmented and so easy to blend. There is a wide range of different looks I can create with this pallete and these is a great range of matte and shimmer shadows.
I really reccomend these palletes and I will definetly be going out and purchasing more.

ps. sorry for the crappy photo I had horrible lighting

Skincare routine- Acne prone skin

hello beauties,
Sorry i haven't posted in a while i've been busy with school exams and work but now i finally have a few days off so i will be catching up with my blog posts

I personally have very acne prone skin. I have a lot of redness and scarring and i would say my skin is sensitive and combination-oily.
I have been through so many different skin cleansers both quite expensive ones and cheap ones from the drugstore and i am only now starting to discover products that really work for me.

First of all every night i remove my makeup either with my Garnier cleansing water or a makeup removal wipe. I then use one of two face washes. I have been alternating between my Herbalism cleanser from lush or my Avene cleansing gel. I usually alternate and use one in the morning and then the other at night.
I will then use a toner either my Garnier pure active pimple reducing toner or my Lush tea tree toner water which i have recently run out of but will be repurchasing soon. I then apply my grease lighting spot treatment from lush to any existing blemishes on my face. Lastly i will moisturize with my Garnier moisture match moisturizer. I am a huge fan of these they are so inexpensive but are really great products! i own three different ones, the green one which is supposed to mattify oily skin, the yellow one which is supposed to give your skin a radiant glow and the blue one which is for normal to dry skin and really moisturizes really well.
Three times a week i will use my st ives green tea scrub to exfoliate and i will also do a Mask once or twice a week. The mask i have really been loving lately is the Lush Cosmetic Warrior fresh mask. The only thing i dont like about this is that it STINKS so bad.

So there you have it. That is my skincare routine. I really believe that if your are going to apply makup to your face you really need a clean base and just a basic skincare routine that you follow. Not only will it make your skin cleaner but it will also help your makup go on better.

review- Lush angels on bare skin cleanser

I'm sure just like me whenever you walk past lush you smell that amazing scent and are drawn into the store. I had been researching some of their skin products such as cleansers, masks etc. and after hearing so many good reviews I made a trip to lush.
I was greeted by that lovely sweet smell and the bubbly staff that worked there. One of the lovely ladies showed me some of the products best suited to acne prone skin like me and she showed me how they worked and what ingredients they had in them. she suggested I try out the angels on bare skin cleanser. It sounded great and exactly what I wanted!
the cleanser comes in a small tub and is a sort of clay like texture which you mix with water to form a paste then massage onto your face. I have never used a cleanser like this before so I was very curious to see how it would work out.

first night I used it.. It was great! made my skin feel so smooth and fresh and then the next morning I woke up... I had 2 or 3 large sore pimples coming up. now for me getting pimples is a normal thing and since it was time Mother Nature was paying me a monthly visit ( if you get my drift) i never really thought it would of been the cleanser breaking me out. So I continued to use it for 2 more nights and my skin just continued to get worse. I have honestly never had my skin break out so badly ever!
my mum suggested to me that it might acually be the cleanser breaking me out so I stopped using it for a week and I let my skin clear up a bit... I then tested it again and the next day those giant ugly pimples were back.
I am honestly so disappointed :( I thought this would be the perfect product for me but I guess it wasn't
I will be taking this back to lush soon to exchange for something else

on a lighter note I also picked up the up the grease lightning spot treatment which has worked wonders for clearing up those nasty breakouts from the cleaner! I really love this product and probably will repurchase it when it runs out

iherb order- Real technique brushes and Elf cosmetics

hello lovelies!
the other day i was looking around on online websites that sell makeup and dreaming about all the products i am wanting.. as you do.. and i came across Iherb. I had heard about this site before from many other beauty bloggers and instagrammers and i decided to see what all the fuss was about . I had no intention of purchasing anything since i am on a spending ban.. woops.. but I was sold as soon as i saw the cheap prices for real technique brushes.
This is my first time ordering off this website and i am so impressed. After i placed my order i instantly received a confirmation email and then the next day another email to say my order was shipped. I ordered this stuff on Friday and received it on Monday the following week. Considering it was coming from America i am so happy with that.

So these are the products i ordered...

Real techniques Blush brush

holy moly this brush is so freaking soft! it seems like it might be too big to apply blush but I'll see how it goes

Real techniques powder brush

this is huge!! not to sure about this one but I'll give it a go.

elf cosmetics blush and bronzer duo in st lucia- i have been wanting this for quite a while and for the price of $3.50 how could i refuse. It is kind of annoying how the bronzer is shimmery I would've preffered a matte one for contouring but so far it seems really great

and lucky last elf cosmetics baked blush in peachy cheeky- i have heard mixed reviews about this and i have never tried a baked blush before so this will be an interesting product to try out. it is not very pigmented at all so I don't think I would use it as a blush but It is quite a nice pinky highlight shade

in total this order came to $29.95 including shipping so i wasnt really breaking the bank too much.
from now on i will be on a much stricter spending ban until the end of the month!

favourite nail polishes 💅

hi lovelies,
this blog post is dedicated to showing you my favourite nail polishes of the moment. I am a total nail polish hoarder! I recently chucked out about 10 bottles that had gone all gross or we're used up. I have narrowed this list down to just 5 nail polishes which was so hard because I equally love all of my nail polishes

okay first of all is the colour orange blossom from ulta3
I recently painted my nails with this colour and I love it! and for an extra bonus I'm pretty sure these are only 1 or $2

next up is nude chic from revlon

perfect nude nail colour that is not to noticeable but looks amazing at the same time

next is Maybelline colour show in porcelain party

this is the perfect white colour I really love this

another revlon favourite of mine.. Vixen

this is my go to winter shade (when I'm not at school because sadly I'm not allowed bright nail polish at school)

and last but not least is speedy sunburst from Sally Hansen

I love this colour because the brush is quite larger and I find it easier to apply. Also it dries a lot faster than any other nail polish I own

It was so hard for me to only pick 5 but these are the ones I probably use the most

hope you enjoyed

Review and swatches of Maybelline Colour tatoos

Hi Lovelies,
today i will be reviewing the Maybelline colour tattoo's.
I only have 4 of these but i am seriously in love! They are so creamy and pigmented and they last a long time. I really love wearing these as a base for eye shadow or sometimes even on their own they look amazing.
I own five of these but unfortunately i lost one so i only have four at the moment.
The colours i own are:
Inked in Pink

This is a gorgeous pink colour and it is so wearable. I think it looks especially good on brown eyes

Barely Branded

This is my favorite out of the ones i own. It is a gorgeous champagne colour and i wear this on a regular basis just for a simple eye look. I would say this is my go to eye shadow product at the moment.

Bold Gold

I only picked this one up about 3 days ago and i am yet to use it but the swatches are absolutely beautiful! i cant wait to try it out

Audacious Asphalt

This colour is great as a base for a dark smoky eye look. The only thing i dont like about this one is that it is very shimmery and sometimes has shimmery fall out..which i dont really understand because it is a cream product.

And i did own Tough as Taupe but sadly have misplaced it :(

Overall i really enjoy using these products! I wish they had a larger range of colours in Australia. These cost around $11.95 and you can pick them up pretty much anywhere that sells Maybelline makeup
